Colorado: Bids on Weed-Inspired Licence Plates Open Until 4/20

Love weed, like to drive and feel like giving back? The Colorado License Plates Auction might be just the ticket.

Always thinking ahead, the Colorado Disability Funding Committee — whose mission is to raise and distribute funds to help maximize support for new and innovative programs benefitting the state’s disability community — saved some choice cannabis-themed licence plates and is looking to auction them off to raise cash for future grants.

Fittingly, the auction that kicked off at 4:20 p.m. on Apr. 1 comes to an end at 4:20 p.m. on Apr. 20, the very top of the tops when it comes to days to celebrate cannabis. All proceeds are going to charity.

In a pun-filled, jam-packed Facebook post last week, the committee sent a shout-out to charitable types looking spruce up their standard licence plates.

“ISIT420? The #ColoradoDisabilityFundingCommitte had the TEGRIDY to STASH away some great HERB related license plate configurations and is making them available to you,” noted the post. “Don’t be GREEN with envy because your neighbor GOTWAX and HONEY, bid on a plate and support people with disabilities! Colorado GANJA themed license plates could make you as HAPPY as your 100% HEMP t-shirt. Leave ya SATIVA and INDICA, put down the BONG, use our HASHtags to follow along.”

Indeed, the post includes each of the 14 weed-themed vanity licence plates that are up for grabs.
