New Location for the Karma Cup

Written by Dankr staff.
the-karma-cup-logoSarah Sunday and helpers of the Karma Cup had everything set in place for Canada’s largest cannabis festival & judging completion in downtown Toronto. With the festival just a few days away (Oct. 22 & 23) the event venue became aware that cannabis would be dispensed (samples & sales) from some vendors and the area is not zoned for dispensaries. This prevented the Karma Cup from getting their tent license. This is the same tactic Toronto police have been using in Project Claudia raids previously. This started the search for a new location to host the Karma Cup, last minute.

Luckily the Karma Cup acted quickly and has secured a new location. This festival will be centrally located in a smaller venue then previously arranged. It will be located close to vapour lounges in the city, that may have some Karma Cup events. The organizer lost the ~$60,000 dollar deposit on the original event, but has confirmed it will take place at a new location that will be released Saturday morning. Stay posted for more updates!

Sarah Sunday & the Karma Cup have also confirmed that there is a new venue arranged for the Gala event Saturday evening that many people have bought tickets for. See you there! The NORML conference has been relocated to Vapour Central and will be Saturday and Sunday starting at 10AM and will be free for all Judges and ticket holders to enter.

Update: Details on where the event will be located shall be undated Saturday morning at 7AM. Stay tuned to Dankr or for more information as it is released. An email was sent to Karma Cup judges, notifying them of the new location for the Gala party Saturday night, as well as the location of the awards ceremony. The Gala event will be located around Kensington Market area for  people to plan ahead. The awards ceremony will be located at Vapour Central (667 Yonge St) Sunday, starting at 2pm.
