Marijuana was supposed to be legalized in Canada this past weekend, but that won’t happen until Oct. 17.

As legalization has inched closer, did you ever imagine making weed legit would be this complicated?

I don’t use marijuana. Never have and can’t imagine I ever will, even once it’s legal.

Yet it always seemed inevitable that “grass” would at least be decriminalized, if not made fully legal someday. But never in my wildest dreams did I conceive that legalization would ever be as highly regulated as what is coming.

The biggest problem I can see is what politicians and bureaucrats really want – for all their talk about supporting legalization – is actually highly regulated weed, not merely legal weed.
