Toko specializes in disposable and non-disposable vapourizer pens that use highly concentrated Co2 extracted cannabis oils. They offer a wide range of strains providing potent effects with great flavour.
The best place to source Toko vape pens is through CannaWorld.ca, who regularly stock all of their products. Registration is open to all Canadians 19+ and is simple to complete. Toko vape pens are available in some dispensaries in Toronto and BC.
Toko Pricing & Selection:
Toko produces a variety of different vape pens, all infused with THC and terpenes. All Toko pens are lab tested, using THC extracted with Co2. Once the THC has been extracted, terpenes are re-added to the extract to make it more flavourful. Some of the Toko products use non-cannabis derived terpenes, but the majority use live cannabis derived terpenes from the exact same cannabis plant.
The Toko Flave Pen’s are disposable, containing 0.5mL of extract, or roughly 0.55g each. These pens use non-cannabis derived terpenes to create their vast array of flavours including Blueberry, Root Beer, Honey Dew, etc… retailing for $60 each. The Toko Slim’s are disposable and contain a 0.4mL cartridge, holding about 0.44g of extracts. They used live cannabis-derived terpenes for flavouring the Slim’s, creating the Grape Kush, Pennywise, Girl Scout Cookies, etc. vape pens which retail for $55.
The Toko Gold Tips are Toko’s line of rechargeable and reusable vape pens. Toko’s newest product is their refillable bottles for their vape pens. These bottles come pre-packaging with the concentrate and terpenes already mixed and ready for the vape pen. These bottles are in high demand, so scoop one up if you get the chance. The Gold Tips use live cannabis derived terpenes from the fresh cannabis plant to flavour the concentrate. The Gold Tips have a 0.5mL cartridge containing 0.55g of concentrate. The Gold Tip on its own retails for $70, and retails for $100 with the adjustable voltage battery included. This allows you to vaporize your concentrate at various incremental temperature settings.
Unique to Toko:
Toko specializes in disposable and non-disposable vapourizer pens and highly concentrated Co2 extracted cannabis oils. They offer a wide range of strains, and in this case we had the pleasure of reviewing their Gold series oil cartridge with Co2 extracted XJ13 (Jack Herer x G13) strain cannabis oil with no additives. The Toko Gold tips are Toko’s line of rechargeable and reusable vape pens.
I’ll be honest, I’m not the most experienced when it comes to vape pens, but after hearing so many good things about these pens and oils I was excited to try it out. Now just to be clear, this is not an e-juice but a highly concentrated and pure cannabis oil, which I prefer.
Toko Gold Tip Looks & Visual Appeal:
I love the matchbox style packaging, which comes neatly and professionally designed and labeled. The back details all the cannabinoids and ingredients present in the oil with appropriate warnings. The bottom of the package has a small sticker indicating the strain, in this case XJ13 (Jack Herer x G13). When you slide open the box, the cartridge sits safely in black foam. I’m a stickler for a good design, and I like this neat packaging.
Toko Gold Tip Feel, Functionality, Quality:
The cartridge instantly looks high class and high quality. Not only is the cartridge gold, but also the cannabis oil is a bright and clear orange colour that looks just as good.
The cartridge seems well built, solid, and has some nice weight to it. It uses a 510-thread, typical amongst most cannabis vape-pens which is handy. I was able to pull out a pen I hadn’t used in a while and give it some new life with this cartridge. It also looks pretty innocuous which is helpful when using it in public.
My Experience With Toko Gold Tip:
I screwed it on and took a few puffs. The air pulls in well and the cartridge doesn’t overheat. Nice cloud on the exhale and no oil leaks in the cartridge either. The indentation on the mouthpiece is also a nice touch making it very comfortable on the lips. You can easily take many puffs back-to-back to create the effect of a light dab.
XJ13 Smell, Texture, Taste:
Wow. With my first inhale I was shocked at how amazing this oil tasted. I had to recheck the packaging thinking this thing had to have some added terpenes. But no, what I was tasting was the natural terpenes of this Jack Herer x G13 Co2 extraction! It was an amazingly refreshing flavour tasting almost like pine with sweet notes of pineapple.
The fact that the cartridge has an easy airflow allows me to take multiple pulls and build up a thick dab-like cloud on the exhale. What I also noticed is that the vapour doesn’t have a strong odour, making it that much easier to use in public.
The effects were really pleasurable. I found very few sedative qualities to the ‘high’, which is no surprise given the high THC to CBD ratio in the oil but a nice head buzz and euphoric feeling were present just after a few tokes. Perfect for a daytime high.
