Cannabiscotti is a Toronto based edible processing company that launched in 2016. Their product has been developed over the last 5 years, and they have now become an Award Winning, and widely respected company within the craft cannabis community. Their product looks and tastes fantastic and will appeal to patients and consumers, with many different tastes and preferences.
Cannabiscotti can be accessed by patients and consumers alike, through a variety of choices. Cannabiscotti can be found at places such as; the Green Market, Buzz Basketz or the companies own website. You can also contact the team via Instagram and Email. As edible products are not often carried by dispensaries in Toronto, you will not likely find these products on the shelves of your local medical or recreational storefront.
Cannabiscotti Pricing, Selection and Dosage:
As you can probably already tell by the company’s name, Cannabiscotti focuses on one product (infused biscotti), but their product comes in a variety of delicious flavours to suit the different tastes of medical patients. Their current flavours consist of:
- “Lit Up” Lemon Poppy Seed
- “Blitzed” Triple Chocolate
- “Toasted” Vanilla Almond
- “Blasted” Peanut Butter
- “Blazed” Salted Caramel
The biscotti currently retails for $7 or 4 for $20, and each piece is made with 50mg of THC infused from cold pressed virgin coconut oil (+or- 5mg).
Unique to Cannabiscotti:
Cannabiscotti unlike other companies focus their time and attention to their one product. This helps the company effectively perfect their edible, rather than having a variety of products at average quality. This method ensures the high quality and the professionalism that every patient deserves and wishes to receive.
Cannabiscotti Taste, Smell and Texture:
When I received the edible, I was very pleased with the look of the product and the packaging that it came in. It was in a transparent plastic box, which displayed the biscotti beautifully. The company’s logo and name on the front, with the dosage and ingredients listed clearly on the back. The biscotti was then packaged into a heat sealed bag for guaranteed freshness. The biscotti smelled great!!! One of them smelt like chocolate and the other like vanilla and almonds. The look of the biscotti was fresh, well decorated and made my mouth start to water. I had almost forgotten I was eating an infused product when I took my first bite. At first you can taste the ever so slight hint of cannabis, which was quickly overtaken by the flavours of the biscotti itself. The product was extremely fresh and very enjoyable, leaving me wanting more after finishing them both.
At a 50mg dosage (per cannabiscotti) I decided that I would consume both pieces of biscotti at once, as I tend to have a higher tolerance for edibles. At approximately 1:30 pm I ate both edibles equaling a dosage of 100mg (+or- 5mg). At 2:45 I began to feel some effects of the THC, starting with heavy eyes and a slight feeling of relaxation in my muscles. By 3:30pm I felt the full effects of the medication, very indica in nature with a heavy body stone. I was quite surprised by the potency of the Cannabiscotti as I began to feel very relaxed, hungry and a bit couch locked when the effects of the product fully kicked in. The after effects kicked in at around 6:30pm, and left me tired and lethargic. I would recommend using this product more towards the evening rather than earlier in the day. Customers and patients new to edibles should be careful when deciding their personal dosage with this product. I recommend those new to edibles eat half a biscotti and wait before consuming the rest.
At closing I would like to congratulate Cannabiscotti on their recent win at the 4th Annual Karma Cup!!! It is a most deserving win, as your product is one of the tastiest and most professionally prepared and packaged products, I have ever enjoyed medicating with.
