Interested in learning how to cook with cannabis? Want to know all about cannabis rights as a tenant? Or the health benefits in using the green stuff?
This first-ever Cannabis Living Expo takes place this weekend — Oct. 26 to 28 — at the International Centre in Mississauga to coincide with Canada’s cannabis legalization on Oct. 17.
The goal is to make it less daunting for the public to learn about the ins and outs of the plant.
“It’s always been used, it’s always been available, but there hasn’t been a lot of information available about it because of the stigma,” said the expo’s Vice-President Garnet Irving.
“Everything you learned about it was spread word of mouth, so that was the impetus for starting the expo — to educate and inform the public about this wonderful product, which is finally legal in Canadian society.”
There are 100 vendors on site, both locally, nationally and internationally. Organizers are expecting up to 15,000 visitors over the three days.
