We all know Seth Rogen loves weed.
The actor is the star and auteur of iconic stoner movies such as Pineapple Express and has never been shy about sharing his love of cannabis off-screen, either — co-founding Canadian weed brand Houseplant with friend and collaborator Evan Goldberg and advocating for the expungement of criminal records for minor cannabis offences.
So it’s unsurprising that cannabis plays a huge part in Rogen’s creative process. The 38-year-old recently went so far as to attribute his entire creative oeuvre to the benefits of the drug as he continues his latest, often-controversial press tour.
“I smoke weed all day every day and have for the past 20 years,” Rogen told Yahoo Entertainment. “So I’d say by nature I’m always post-smoke. So every creative decision you’ve ever seen me make throughout my entire life has been made after smoking weed.”
The actor is currently promoting An American Pickle, a film in which he stars both as app designer Ben Greenbaum and his ancestor Herschel, an Eastern European who spends a century preserved in a vat of pickles only to be revived in modern-day Brooklyn.
Rogen’s prolific pot consumption doesn’t seem to have interfered with his productivity, in fact, he’s an absolute delight to work with, if you ask… Rogen.
