Provincial police have charged 13 people in connection to Monday’s bust of a marijuana growing operation in South Dundas, northeast of Iroquois.
O.P.P. announced Tuesday night that they seized over 200 kilograms (440 pounds) of processed cannabis, over 1,700 pot plants, plus growing and processing equipment.
Police officers and municipal workers were at the property at 11515 Rowena Road, west of Shaver Road, Monday morning (Monday) removing truckloads of pot.
The accused range in age from 42 to 71 and are from Markham, Scarborough, Maple, Toronto, Regina, Sask., and Brooklyn, N.Y.
All of the accused are facing charges of cultivating, propagating or harvesting more than four cannabis plants under the Cannabis Act.
