Toronto’s original head shop, The Friendly Stranger, has opened its first official weed-selling store in Toronto.
Located at 501 Church St., just south of Wellesley Street East, the shop opened its doors today, Wednesday, May 13.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the retailer is presently offering curbside pickup and same-day delivery.
As a demonstration of its commitment to supporting the LGBTQ2IA+ community, Friendly Stranger Holdings Corp. (FSHC) is producing a virtual drag show hosted by Brock McGillis, the first openly gay male professional hockey player, and international celebrity drag queen Brooke Lynn Hytes. The Friendly Stranger plans to donate a portion of ticket sales from this event to Gladdaylit, a downtown east charity that supports local queer writers and artists.
This new location is Friendly Stranger Holdings Corp.’s third cannabis store. Earlier this year, the company opened locations in London and Burlington.
