A cannabis retail advisor wants to team up with the cannabis lottery licence hopefuls in Kitchener-Waterloo to ensure a store opens in the area.
Ontario Cannabis Holdings (OCH) has helped other locations including Central Cannabis in London and locations in Alberta set up shop.
Jon Conquergood, the CEO of OCH said they will work with the licensee lottery hopefuls to ensure the prospective retailer opens on time and within the rules set out by the province.
“What we are hearing from customers and people in the region was that they were upset and slightly angry that they didn’t have access to cannabis in their particular town,” said Conquergood.
“So with the new lottery rules what we want to be able to do is work with people who are interested in getting into cannabis to open a store in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and give access to the people in that region.”
