Cannabis might be an essential service across the country, but ordering from the Ontario Cannabis Store is going to come with some delays this week.
Currently, the only legal online cannabis ordering site in the province isn’t offering overnight delivery. Customers who complete an order online will notice the option not being offered.
“Our distribution centre team worked in advance to prepare for the audit being conducted by the Office of the Auditor General of Ontario,” Daffyd Roderick, director of communications, said to Grow in a statement. “We expect to resume operations on April 1, 2020, and will have extra staff on to clear orders placed during this time.”
As the distribution centre conducts inventory assessments for the new fiscal year, those who placed orders between Sunday, March 29 and April 1 should expect delays.
“We will work first to get through received orders before bringing back the expedited delivery options that we know are popular with our customers,” Roderick added.
