After months of frustration that Ontario’s rollout of cannabis retail stores was passing Thunder Bay by, the city is now looking at a boom that could bring the total number of local stores to six.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has opened a 15-day public notice period for two potential new cannabis stores in Thunder Bay: Canna Cabana at 572 Arthur Street West, and J. Supply Co. at 701 Memorial Avenue.

Canna Cabana would be located near the Seattle Coffeehouse and Monsoon restaurant on Arthur Street West. J. Supply Co. would be situated near the Power Centre, across from Mario’s Bowl on Memorial Avenue.
