Is Barrie becoming a marijuana mecca?

With 10 cannabis stores already in operation and another 17 at various stages of authorization, there is no shortage of retailers to choose from.

A former all-day breakfast restaurant on Yonge Street is the latest possible location for another pot shop.

Buds 4 Less plans to open at 489 Yonge St., the same location the popular Gibby’s thrived before the pandemic.

The public has until May 13 to make comments about the proposal before it proceeds to the next step in the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario’s (AGCO) authorization process.
