Hotbox Cafe and Homegrown Hydroponics team up to open new grow shop in the heart of Kensington Market launching on Pedestrian Sunday
As Canadians prepare for legalization, the question remains whether the provinces will permit homegrown cannabis. Despite uncertainty, there is already a thriving craft medical industry well under way across Canada through the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). Entrepreneurs Abi Roach and Shelley Rea are not waiting to get in on this new budding ancillary industry. Currently across Canada patients can grow for themselves and others, and once legalization comes every Canadian should have the right to grow 4 plants. As such, Hotbox Homegrown will be celebrating with its Grand Opening BBQ September 24th 2017 11am-7pm as a part of Kensington Market Pedestrian Sunday.
“Together, these two great brands. Want to inspire and assist people living in the urban core to get growing,” stated Abi Roach, operator of Hot Box Cafe.
