Pot dealers hit hard by the pandemic will get some relief from the federal government.
According to Blacklock’s Reporter, Cabinet has approved a plan whereby cannabis retailers would receive a six-month reprieve on the payment of licensing fees. The fees can be as costly as $23,000 or 2.3% of annual income for large sellers.
Licence fees due Sept. 30 are now deferred until March 31, 2021. The health department called it a “short-term loan” and “economic relief” to marijuana dealers at a cost of $3.5 million,.
