Canadian Cannabis Retail Sales Top $261 Million in November

The latest numbers from Statistics Canada show retail pot sales in Canada reached more than $260 million for the month of November.

It’s a slight dip from the previous month when nationwide sales reached more than $270 million, but a 93 per cent increase from a year ago, reports  New Cannabis Ventures.

In Nov. 2019, Canadians bought $135 million worth of cannabis.

Ontario led all provinces and territories, with more than $83 million in sales. Nearly every province saw a slight decline in sales from the previous month with the exception of Saskatchewan, where sales ticked up $140,000 and reached a near-total of $14 million.

New Cannabis Ventures reports that the slight month-over-month dip in sales was also mirrored in the U.S.

Quebec saw the biggest drop in sales, from $48 million in Oct. 2020 to just under $45 million in Nov. 2020.
