Front Row Centre Players promises its new show Reefer Madness will be a smoking hot musical comedy.
Reefer Madness will run at the Beddington Heights Community Arts Centre (375 Bermuda Drive N.W.) from Jan. 6 to 21st.
Based on the 1936 anti-marijuana propaganda film of the same name, Reefer Madness makes all that was deadly serious in the film darkly comic and bitingly satirical.
Jimmy Harper, the protagonist of the movie, was an all-American teenager with the American dream well within his grasp until he tried that evil cannabis which put his life on a downward spiral.
In FRC ‘s version, Jimmy (Forrest Tymchuk) is the heartthrob of the sweet and wholesome Mary Lane (Jamie Robinson) and their tragic love story, as well as those of their friends, is told by the film’s lecturer played by Janos Zeller.
