Three people from Peel Region are among six suspects facing charges following a break and enter at a cannabis farm in Norfolk County.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to reports of the incident around 2 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2. Police allege the suspects forcibly gained entry into the farm and attempted to enter a barn before fleeing in a vehicle after realizing police were called.

The vehicle was later located travelling on Highway 403. Brant County OPP officers used a spike belt to stop the vehicle and several people were taken into custody.

Among the suspects charged are a 33-year-old from Mississauga, a 46-year-old from Brampton and a 29-year-old from Brampton.

They were each charged with break and enter and disguise with intent. The 33-year-old and 46-year-old are each facing an additional charge of possession of break-in instruments.
