After the legalization of recreational cannabis in 2019, dispensaries have been popping up all across Canada, let alone every corner of Toronto. Gone are the days when you need to be buzzed into a back door, or on a street corner, to purchase your bud. Legal stores are thankfully becoming more and more common, where shopping is not only informative, but actually pleasant! Places like Bloor West’s newest addition, Seven Points Cannabis (“Seven Points”), takes it to a whole level.
The effects of COVID-19 have been felt across every industry, and retail cannabis is no exception to that. Like many others, cannabis stores had to quickly pivot to offering delivery in order to keep their businesses afloat. Seven Points Cannabis did just that–just days after having even opened their doors.
The Seven Points Cannabis brand
Partners, Gus and Vivian Polymeros opened the first two locations of Seven Points Cannabis — Brantford and Sault St. Marie — in June 2020. In Brantford, Seven Points was the very first legal cannabis store and the 7th store to open, post-lottery, in Ontario under the new regulations.

Vivian, having over 16-years of experience as a Creative Director in Pharma & Consumer Advertising, was extremely well-versed in all the Canadian regulations. An expert problem-solver when it came to advertising and promotion. Vivian’s first task: developing the Seven Points Cannabis brand.
Seven Point Cannabis is built around the concept of creating a modern icon around the 7 points of a male dominant cannabis leaf.

Seven Points Cannabis’ Expansion into Toronto
On the grand opening of Seven Points Cannabis in June 2020, Matty Tsoumaris aka. Matty Uniq — co-owner of Honeycomb Hospitality, which runs restaurants like Baro, Dasha, The Citizen and others — entered the store, loved the concept and said, “You should open one of these in Toronto.” Gus, having worked with Matty as a restaurant equipment supplier in the past, jumped at the chance to team up with this hospitality/entertainment entrepreneurial genius. After bringing Phil de Baros, Foti Polymeros and Tsoumaris on board, Gus and Vivian worked with them to open their Bloor St. West shop.
Located halfway between High Park and Bloor West Village, this new location is 1900 sqft. with beautiful 18′ ceilings. This boutique is a space that caters to everyone carrying a wide range of products including: flower, extracts, edibles, creams and accessories. With security of employees and customers at the top of mind, they equipped the entire store with a state of the art security system that runs 24/7.
An Education Focused Brand
Seven Points Cannabis strives to break down the stigma around cannabis through education. Each store is designed to educate their clients on the different strains and varieties of cannabis products to choose from. A visit to Seven Points isn’t an errand, it’s an experience.
Delivering Legal Cannabis to Mississauga, for FREE
Like every other retail business, this cannabis shop had to pivot during the pandemic switching to offering free delivery, not only to Toronto, but the GTA… specifically, Mississauga.
