RCMP officers from Squamish, B.C. and Airdrie, Alta. were recently involved in what must have felt like a Matryoshka doll-type bust. It all began when police began investigating the theft of a 2016 Kingfisher Destination 3025 boat that had been reported stolen from a storage facility in Alberta.

After executing a warrant on two adjacent properties, the $250,000 boat was located, recovered and returned. “Returning a piece of property, especially of that value, is extremely fulfilling and we’re happy that the vessel is already back with its rightful owners,” Sgt. Jeff Shore of the RCMP’s Sea to Sky General Investigation Section, said in a statement.
