There’s been another major marijuana seizure in Norfolk County.
OPP on Sept. 24 executed a search warrant at a property on Windham Rd. 12 north of Simcoe. When police arrived, some people at the scene attempted to flee. A total of 27 people were arrested without incident while marijuana with an estimated street value of $2.1 million was seized.
“The investigation is ongoing and a complete list with names and charges will be released in the coming days as police anticipate further arrests surrounding this investigation,” Const. Ed Sanchuk of the Norfolk OPP said in a news release.
Front-line officers executing the search warrant included members of the Haldimand and Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit, members of the OPP’s Provincial Joint Cannabis Enforcement Team, and members of the force’s Emergency Response Team.
