Planet Paradise Overview: (Cabbage town)
51 Winchester St.
I was quite impressed by my experience at Planet Paradise. The lounge has a unique upscale feeling, but still comfortable, very different from other vape lounges in the city. Planet Paradise is well designed for their customers, with lots of outlets and food & beverage options, perfect for the munchies.
Planet Paradise Rules:
Planet Paradise operates like most other vape lounges in Toronto, having few rules, but being very strict on them. These included only allowing individuals 19+ to enter with their own cannabis and not permitting tobacco smoking inside. This includes blunts and splits. Other rules include no dealing, no alcohol and no drugs on premises. It’s also important to be respectful to others around you.
Planet Paradise Layout:
Planet Paradise is located upstairs, just off of Parliament Street, giving it a secluded feeling. You would never stumble upon this vape lounge by chance. The lounge is an elongated room that used to be a bar. Legend has it that Al Capone used to frequent the building and ran some of his business through that very bar. Now the bar is stocked with bongs for rental, t-shirts, pop and snacks for sale. At the end of the bar, there is an enail station for dabs. On the opposite wall of the lounge there are 5 booths, with fireplaces above them for a cozy feeling. The center of the lounge has coffee tables for smaller groups, and there is a large couch in the back for more people to fit in. The lounge reminded me of an old school bar with license plates on the walls, and other memorabilia they have collected over the years.
Planet Paradise Conveniences:
Planet Paradise learnt from previous vape lounges in the city, putting their favourite aspects and then some into their lounge. Planet Paradise has comedy, music performances, free wifi, big screen TVs and a projector for sports games. There are also bongs to rent ($5 – $20) and digital volcano vaporizers included in the entrance fee. For your enjoyment they have drinks, snacks, hot finger food, and for your entertainment Planet Paradise has foosball and gaming stations on wheels. These gaming stations roll up to your booth so you and your friends can play each other on PS4. If you prefer playing games on your phone, there are lots of outlets in the floor for charging your phone or plugging in your e-nail. The staff were friendly, with the individual working stopping by our booth to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our time.
Planet Paradise Entertainment:
Planet Paradise offers multiple options for entertainment. You and your friends can play foosball, or pull up a gaming station to your booth. This is next level gaming, being able to smoke and game at the same time. The gaming stations come equipped with PS4’s and multiple controllers. It costs $20 for the first hour of a gaming station rental and $10 for each hour following. Planet Paradise has multiple games, staying up to date with games like FIFA and Madden. If you prefer watching sports, you can catch your favourite sports team on one of their many TVs or projector.
