The owner of a medical marijuana dispensary is seeking compensation for products seized by the police in 2014.
He’ll be in court Thursday fighting for what he says is rightfully his.
Chris Enns is the owner of Farm Assists Cannabis Resource Centre.
He says despite being authorized by Health Canada to grow cannabis, he’s had some run ins with the law.
“In 2014 we had raids of our private residence, our dispensary and our production site, so three different locations,” said Enns. “And the charges that were related to all three of those locations were completely withdrawn.”
Enns says when he asked for the return of his products, he was told the plants had been destroyed by police, even though he says they were unauthorized to do so.
