The Burin, N.L. company Oceanic Releaf has been granted cannabis cultivation licences from Health Canada for standard cannabis growth and processing operations.
“This is a major milestone for Oceanic and an exciting day for Oceanic as we become a vertically integrated cannabis producer,” company president Taylor Giovannini said in a news release. “We are so excited to be able to supply the local market, and beyond, with premium cannabis cultivated right here in our province.”
Oceanic owns a 63,000-square-foot production facility, about a quarter of which will be devoted to growing cannabis hydroponically. The company says it’s equipped with state-of-the-art cultivation equipment and the latest technology surrounding climate control and grow room automation.
