Yesterday, Monday, the Project Gator court case was once again scheduled to be brought before the court. As a change of pace, after nothing happening for 9 months of bail conditions and court hearing since the original arrest, some progress way made.
For all individuals involved in the case it looks like the end may finally be in sight. For a few months there has been some talk of a potential plea bargain being negotiated in the background.
This is NOT the big announcement! This is just a potential, and definitely not guaranteed. It is optimistic that the accused won’t have to serve jail time, but still far from set in stone.
The Big News is that they are taking the first steps towards a potential settlement. A courtroom has been allocated for 3 hours to hear all the evidence and facts brought against the accused Cannabis Culture 5.
The hearing is set for December 18th, at 10AM in room 117, Old City Hall. This has the potential to be a very exciting day depending on what/if they can reach an agreement. Members of the community should come show their support for dispensaries! It could be a long day so roll lots of joints before hand and don’t forget some edibles. You can also learn a lot about how the Canadian justice system works, which is always good for people in the cannabis industry to know. See you on the 18th!
