December 11th Green Market Wrap-Up

Green Market Toronto is a female owned and operated company that runs cannabis farmers markets at various locations in the Greater Toronto Area. It was first started as a reaction to the Canadian Goverments refusal to let cannabis patients consume their medicine in the method of their choosing. Furthermore, when the Toronto Police began raiding dispensaries in May as part of Project Claudia, the police cracked down especially hard on vendors who were selling edibles. Green Market Toronto was created to foster a safe space for cannabis patients looking for edibles, to purchase their medicine.

As the Green Market events evolve they continue to get more refined. The latest change was a push for every vendor to be lab tested and for all edibles to be made in a comercial kitchen. Though it would be easy to assume this barrier to entry would have a dampening effect on vendor turn out, there were actually substantially more vendors and variety then ever before!

Green Market Toronto is holding the final event of the year, Nuit Verte Holiday Edition, on Sunday December 18th. If they can build off the momentum from this past Sunday, it will be a can’t miss event for the cities edible cannabis users!
