Unique to Trinity Terpenes and Flavour Savers:
Trinity Terpenes is a Cannabis terpene extraction company, originally started in California. It has since grown and licensed its technology to enter the Canadian market. Flavour Savours is a concentrate company that provides shatter and wax. The two companies teamed up together to create a potent and tasty vape pen. The final concentration of cannabinoids is 80%, with the starting material (Distillate) being lab tested.
Gen X Watermelon OG Smell, Texture, Taste:
When you originally open the packaging you will notice a pleasant smell wafting off the vape cartridge. This smell is the terpenes that are giving the flavour to the vape pen. Depending on what flavour you got, will dictate what it smells like. The Watermelon OG has a sweet smell to it with some OG Kush traits coming out at the end. The consistency of the concentrate is rather liquidy, allowing it to flow into the heating chamber. The consistency is a result of adding terpenes, which has a similar consistency as water, to the very stable distillate. The vaping experience has an almost reversed taste of the sent. There is a strong kushy taste at the beginning with sweetness coming on the second half of the exhale. These pens can also provide large hits and vapor clouds. Very unique and enjoyable taste, with no glycerin taste as none is used. As you work your way through the pen, there will be a slight taste change but still very tasty.
Gen X Watermelon OG Effects:
The effects are strong when compared to other vape pens on the market. Most pens have 30 – 40% THC, but with the Gen X containing 80% cannabinoids you will definitely enjoy the effects. Your tolerance and frequency of medicating will determine how long each cartridge lasts. Having the terpenes mixed in with the distillate makes for a treat, not only in taste but also in effects. Terpenes help round out the cannabis experience, giving Indica’s and Sativa’s their properties.
Your Experience with the Gen X Watermelon OG:
I was really excited to get my hands on a Gen X pen to review. I had previously tried it in the 2016 Karma Cup, where the Gen X entries (ACDC – PineappleXpress) won first place. I’ve also tried the product out at events many times before, and was surprised when I had issues with the battery. I charged it, and the light on the battery stayed half lit. I tried pressing it 5 times and it wouldn’t turn off. It was too bad the battery didn’t work, but was a manufacturing issues (I’m assuming) not something Trintiy Terpenes or Flavour Savers did. Luckily the Gen X pen is the standard 510 threading so it should work on any vape battery you have at home. The other thing I noticed which I hadn’t before was when the vape is first used, after awhile you may have an issues drawing on it. I hadn’t noticed this before, and may be a result of how the heating chamber is designed.
