Eden ICED THC Overview:
To give some background, my favorite drink over any option is iced tea, so as soon and I saw the medicated ICED THC in a dispensary, I knew I needed to give it a try. The drink provided good effects, which lasted for 1.5-2 hours, but had a noticeable cannabis flavour.
Accessing Eden ICED THC:
ICED THC is made and distributed by Eden, out in BC. Unfortunately Eden has discontinued their ICED THC beverage in Ontario. The shipping cost may have just been too expensive for this product. Luckily for the patients in BC, ICED THC will still be available in that province.
Eden ICED THC Pricing & Selection:
Eden sells a variety of their own products in their dispensaries, from Eden grown buds to hash. I wasn’t very surprised to find out that Eden makes their own ICED THC beverage. There is only the one flavour of the drink and it recently became discontinues in Ontario. It previously retailed for $20 +tax in Eden Ontario dispensaries, but now is only in their BC locations for $17 +tax.
Unique to ICED THC:
ICED THC is made by Eden, this allows them to control the whole process from growing, to extraction, and bottling. This helps insure dosage is accurate and helps keep the cost down. Compared to the previous cannabis beverages I have had, I find the ICED THC to be one of the stronger ones. The dosage is close to what is expected by the advertised amount (100mg), with effects lasting 1.5-2 hours. All of the cannabis infused beverages/syrups I have tried so far have a shorter period of medical effects than traditional edibles.
ICED THC Smell, Texture, Taste:
When I first tasted the ICED THC, I was surprised by the mild flavour. Iced tea is my favourite drink, and for some reason I expected this drink to be similar to nestle. The ICED THC has a subtle flavours that kept changing it up, similar to Arizona Green Tea with Honey and Ginger for some reason. There’s a strong mango and honey taste (infused honey) at the beginning then the hibiscus and passion fruit flavours. At the end there is a cannabis concentrate taste left in your mouth. Some many not enjoy this, but the taste can easily go away by taking another swig.
ICED THC Effects:
I’ve tried a few cannabis infused beverages before, I really like the idea of being able to drink your cannabis like a beer. Unfortunately in the past these drinks seem under dosed and have short lasting effects. The strong effects pleasantly surprised me. Within minutes I was feeling relaxed and started to lose focus. The drink leaves a cannabis taste in your mouth after you are done drinking it, but this taste can easily be overcome for the desired medical effects. I was able to get a good medical dose off of half of a bottle, lasting 1.5 – 2 hours, and saved the rest to consume later in the day.
