Blessed Edibles Overview:
Blessed Edibles is an edible company that creates cannabis infused products, made with athletes in mind. Blessed Edibles has been infusing edibles for a number of years, and as a result has multiple options on their menu, all healthy.
Accessing Blessed Edibles:
Blessed Edibles used to have their products in dispensaries across the city, but now this is no longer an option. Luckily, Blessed Edibles are regularly at the Green Market where they can be sampled and purchased. If you are looking for wholesale quantities, please visit their website where you can find contact info and learn more about their products.
Blessed Edibles Pricing & Selection:
Blessed Edibles has a long list of products that they produce, all infused with cannabis. (THC, CBD, or THC & CBD) Some of their products include: Oatmeal Chocolate Love, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Float Bar, Powerballs, Blessed Brownies, CBD Cookies, CBD Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Float Bar, Fruit Gummies, baked donuts, capsules and topicals. These products regularly range from being infused with 100mg to 600mg of canna cocoa butter per package.
The Blessed Booch (kombucha) comes in two different strengths, 40mg and 80 mg of THC. Kombucha is a fermented sweet tea that claims to provide health benefits, such as cleansing the digestive tract. Kombucha starts with tea that is sweetened with sugar, then bacteria/yeast is added to start the fermentation process. Blessed Edibles has taken this a step further and infused cannabis into the beverage as well. They also advised leaving the bottle on the counter for a week to continue the fermentation process and add carbonation. If you don’t like carbonation, put it straight into the fridge.
Unique to Blessed Edibles:
Every product Bless Edibles creates is done from a health conscious perspective. Even their doughnuts, which taste fantastic, are baked rather than being fried in oil. This makes them a whole lot healthier. This health conscious perspective is present in the creation and production of all of Blessed Edibles’ products. It was without surprise that they started making an infused kombucha, adding two separate beneficial products into one.
Blessed Booch Smell, Texture, Taste:
As I was suggested, I left the Blessed Booch out for 1 week at room temperature to add some carbonation. This resulted in a mild amount of carbonation, probably had to do with being stored in a cool basement for the week. After that it was stored in a fridge for 2 weeks, until I got time to trying it. The Blessed Booch doesn’t require staying in the fridge for any length of time, but if you are storing it, the fridge is the best spot.
After 1 week at room temperate and 2 weeks in the fridge, the Blessed Booch still tasted fine and had no issues. Just like all Kombucha, it smelled unpleasant, but don’t stop there. The actual taste of the drink is quite enjoyable! The Blessed Booch smelt like a sweet pickle brine (I’m not a pickle fan) and was worried how it would taste. There was some slight carbonation, with a sweet and sour battle of the taste buds going on that was quite nice.
Blessed Booch Effects:
I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect from the Blessed Booch, was it going to clear out my digestive tract, not cause any noticeable effect at all, or somewhere in between? I was pleasantly surprised by how strong the effects were from a 40mg THC dose and how quickly it set in. Ten minutes after starting the beverage, when I was half done, I was able to notice mental effects starting to set in. Looking back, because the Blessed Booch is fermented is does have a slight alcohol content (kamboucha usually has less than 0.5 % alcohol) which will increase the effects and absorption of THC.
