TPS has issued 3 CDSA search warrants at the Canna Clinic Eglinton location, 2 at Yonge St since the initial June 22 raids of 7 Toronto Canna Clinics.
Toronto Police Services released an update today on their ongoing enforcement against the Canna Clinic dispensary chain, detailing a new raid of a re-opened Canna Clinic on Wednesday, June 5 at a 527 Eglinton Avenue West.
This is the third raid of the Eglinton location since June 22. The second was on Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
Police say the Eglinton Canna Clinic location re-opened on Saturday, June 24, two days after the initial raids. Police raided the business again three days later, seizing another 22 pounds of cannabis and $13,000, along with “associated equipment required for the operation of the dispensary.”
On Wednesday, July 5, 2017, officers from 53 Division executed a third CDSA search warrant at the same location. Another five people were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule II substance and possession of proceeds of crime. They are are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
