Over Wednesday evening and Thursday, there have been a number of incidents involving Cannabis Culture dispensaries, their employees and police. It has yet to be confirmed, but there are strong indications that this may have been a nation wide, strategic counter approach to the Cannabis Culture brand boom.
On Wednesday evening Marc and Jodie Emery were arrested in Toronto Pearson International Airport on their way to Spain for cannabis expo, Spannabis. The charges against the couple have not been released to the public, but presumable it is related to their dispensary business. Jodie and Marc Emery were both held in Toronto jail over night, awaiting their court hearing the following morning. Source.
The following day, Thursday March 9th, a number of Cannabis Culture locations across the country were raided by police as Marc and Jodie Emery sat in jail.
The locations that have been raided are currently being reported on and will be added to this article as they are confirmed. In BC, the Cannabis Culture Headquarters at 307 W Hasting St. was raided early Thursday morning. Source.
In Ontario, all five Cannabis Culture locations have been raided by police. The 711 Queen East Cannabis Culture location was seen full of police officers Thursday morning. Source.
