Ottawa police are looking for two suspects after a marijuana dispensary was robbed on Rideau Street.
Two men entered the store just as it was closing around 11:35 p.m. on Sept. 6, and pushed a female clerk to the ground and assaulted her, alleged police in a statement Thursday.
Police said the men confined the employee to one room and demanded money and drugs, then scooped cannabis products from the shelves into a duffel bag. One of the men said he had a firearm, but no weapon was seen. Witnesses saw the men running north on Nelson Street.
The clerk suffered a minor injury, said police.
The WeeMedical Dispensary at 358 Rideau, which opened in the summer, is one of about 15 marijuana shops across the city. It sells dried weed and cannabis-laced cookies, candy and pop.
