Police bust two storefront marijuana dispensaries in St. Catharines Five arrested at Sacred Garden, The Green North

Niagara Regional Police arrested five people after an investigation in April into a pair of storefront businesses in St. Catharines allegedly operating as marijuana dispensaries.

On April 27, police executed search warrants at the businesses:

Sacred Garden at 182 Pelham Rd. and The Green North at 243 Welland Ave.

Two people were arrested at the Sacred Garden. Branden Finora, 33, of St. Catharines, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana. Stephan Botsford, 26, of St. Catharines is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in marihuana and possession proceeds of crime.

Three people were arrested at The Green North. Michael Bisson, 24, of Welland, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana and possession proceeds of crime. Tijana Kovinic, 28, of Niagara Falls, and Tyler Snowden, 22, of St. Catharines, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana.

Police are reminding members of the public that locations advertising the sale of marijuana and derivatives of marijuana are doing so illegally. Police say these storefronts are not authorized by Health Canada, and people buying from them may be arrested.
