For the second time in a week police have raided an Oshawa marijuana dispensary and laid charges against individuals found on the premises.
Officers executed a search warrant at the 420 Compassion Club on Simcoe Street South on Friday, Sept. 23, seizing more than 270 grams of marijuana and $2,085 in cash, Durham police said.
The storefront dispensary was one of three such outlets raided a week earlier, on Sept. 16. In that instance, four people were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, police said.
As a result of the Sept. 23 raid Justin Long, 27, of Clarington and Jamie Bujack, 30, of Pickering are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
Long was charged with the same offences when police executed a search warrant at the 420 Compassion Club Sept. 16.
Also raided on Sept. 16 were Emerald Triangle on Simcoe Street North in Oshawa and Green Street Medical Society, on Dunlop Street in Whitby.
