Canada’s self-described Prince of Pot and his wife were arrested at Toronto’s Pearson airport on Wednesday, according to Victoria-based cannabis lawyer Kirk Tousaw.
The couple was being held for a bail hearing at Old City Hall on Thursday morning, Kirk Tousaw posted on Facebook.
“It appears they were arrested at the airport and not as part of a raid,” the lawyer wrote at 1:45 a.m.
About a dozen Vancouver police officers began executing a raid at Marc Emery’s Cannabis Culture at 307 West Hastings Street at around 8 a.m.
Similar raids are also being conducted at Cannabis Culture shops in Ontario.
