Evergreen Medicinals had one of their locations raided this past week. The 2078 Dundas Street West, dispensary was shut down by Toronto police. This is just one of at least six different dispensaries that were raided last week. With no expected stops on police raids, Evergreen Medicinals had decided to close both of their locations. Evergreen Medicinal sent the following e-mailed to their patients notifying them of the events and decisions that have unfolded.

Patients,

On behalf of the Evergreen Medicinal Team, we would like to thank you all for your support and patience with us during these hard times for medical marijuana dispensaries. The city has decided to take a hard stance against our vision to provide safe, accessible and affordable cannabis to patients who are in need of cannabis for medical relief. As you may or may not have heard, our Dundas location got raided yesterday evening. These are very dire circumstances, and as much as we do not want to, we are required to shut down both of our locations or risk further raids. We would like to thank all of you for your loyalty with us. Yonge and Dundas will be closed until further notice, but if there are any changes, you will be the first to know.
