Jodie Emery hosted a news conference at 711 Queen St. W., one of their dispensaries. This location was raided Wednesday (yesterday) afternoon. In the aftermath of the raid staff were scrambling to purchase scales, make strain signs, and find lighting after power was cut, all to ensure they were open for business the next day.
In Jodie’s press conference she tells the public that this is “unjust and unfair”. She goes on to call Justin Trudeau a hypocrite, suggesting he trafficked weed by passing joints. Jodie hopes the raids stop and the police use their funds to catch worse criminals.
Jodie ensured customers that they would be open for business that day, as soon as scales were purchased. With the main power cable to the dispensary cut, camera lights were used to light the press conference. Generators were expected on site around noon to give light and air conditioning.
Jodie promised to stay open even the police decide to raid them again.
