Press Release by Press Pillay
Toronto-based agency Press Pillay is bringing Communications Week to Canada later this year on October 18 in a one-day event to celebrate the PR, media and communications industries.
Communications Week is a conference conceptualized by Kite Hill PR in 2014 and has taken place in New York every year since. This year, for Communications Week’s fifth anniversary, Kite Hill is partnering with Press Pillay to launch the conference in Canada, starting the Toronto.
Scheduled to be held at Artscape Sandbox in the heart of downtown Toronto, Communications Week in Canada will feature insightful, lively panel discussions from a variety of key players in the industry, with a focus on agency, brand and startup communications.
Toronto ranks among the fastest-growing global technology innovation hubs globally—recently outstripping the Silicon Valley for tech job creation. Forbes also recently deemed Canada a tech-haven for empowering innovation—making now the perfect time for Communications Week to emerge.
“Toronto is on the brink of a major shift,” says Nesh Pillay, founder of Press Pillay. “At Comms Week, we’ll be examining the role of communications and what it means for our industry to have tech and progress come to the forefront of the conversation.”
The event theme is “The Workplace of the Future”—from the importance of creating a more diverse workforce and shaping future female leaders, to understanding how today’s workplace needs to change to attract Gen Z talent, Communications Week in Canada will explore how the very definition of work is changing.
Communications Week Canada will be a one-day event this year, held to coincide with Small Business Week, celebrating entrepreneurs in the Canadian landscape.
