Sea of Green Dispensary Overview:
Sea of Green Dispensary is the newest recreational/18+ dispensary to open up in the heart of Toronto. This dispensary is run by the same individual who took over the Church Cannabis Culture as Village Cannabis Dispensary, and was later forced to close shop by the previous landlord.
Sea of Green Dispensary Location:
57 Elm St, Toronto (Yonge & Dundas)
Sea of Green Dispensary is located at 57 Elm St. in Toronto, just two blocks northwest of Dundas Square. This makes it extremely easy to subway to, but may provide some issues finding parking in the area.
Sea of Green Dispensary Membership Access:
Sea of Green Dispensary is a recreational dispensary, allowing individuals 18+ to enter their shop and purchase cannabis. Sea of Green Dispensary has installed frosted glass on the bottom portion of their storefront to prevent kids for looking into the store. Sea of Green Dispensary Pricing & Selection:
I was really impressed by the vast selection of cannabis available and the affordable prices. There were approximately 15 different strains of bud and concentrate each, along with various vape pens, tinctures, hash, and topicals. The bud was priced at $9-$12/gram, (tax included) with the owner wanting to bring high quality strains to Toronto and keep the price down. Each strain has a nug in a display jar so you can smell and look at the strain before purchasing. The current special is every $50 you spend you get a free gram, but this is expected to switch into a discount for bulk purchases in the future. The concentrates retail between $35-$65/gram.
Cotton Candy Kush:
Cotton Candy Kush has a very sweet and a little sour, kushy smell to it, which caught my attention when smelling the various jars. Under a microscope you can see it has been grown to maturity with lots of trichomes, and a few starting to turn amber. In the vape more of the kushy, earthy taste came forward, where as in the bong it was very smooth with less earthy taste.
Royal Blue Dream:
Blue Dream is a classic so I had to get this Royal Blue Dream! The bud structure was very similar to Blue Dream: light green, lots of crystals, some red hairs, and round, dense buds that had few leaves pointing out. The bud smelt sweet, with lots of spice coming out as you break it up. This strain provides a very pleasant smoke: light spiciness, mild sweetness. I found the effects of the Royal Blue Dream to be very enjoyable, provided hard-hitting sativa effects without any anxiety.
I got a few other strains from Sea of Green Dispensary, White Widow & Karibbean Mango, both of which I enjoyed very much. The Karibbean Mango had a beautiful sweet smell and taste to it. All of the strains I tried from Sea of Green Dispensary had been well grown and cured, I’m sure you’ll like what you pick up.
Unique to Sea of Green Dispensary:
Sea of Green Dispensary is one of the few dispensaries in Toronto that operate as a recreational dispensary, allowing anyone 19+ to make a purchase. Sea of Green has also shifted away from the typical dispensary interior of macro bud shots to long boards decorating the walls, with plants inside. The long boards are courtesy of Long Board Living. The owner has also made it a high priority to have a large variety of top-notch strains, without charging $13-$15/gram. Sea of Green Dispensary is a result of Project Gator raids dispersing Cannabis Culture. Some budtenders from Cannabis Culture now work atSea of Green. Sea of Green Dispensary is the first dispensary I am aware of, that you can pre order online and pick it up in person.
Sea of Green Dispensary Staff:
The Staff at See of Green Dispensary were very kind and informative, helping suggest specific strains I would be interested in. The products are grouped by category, with each strain having a jar with a little sample of it for customers to look over at their convenience. I really like this design because it saves the budtender a lot of time, showing off strains. This way they are free to help customers ready to make a purchase.
