Canna Clinic Overview:
Canna Clinic dispensary chain originally started in BC in 2012 and expanded to Toronto early in 2016. Canna Clinic now has 6 locations in Toronto and multiple in BC. All Canna Clinic Toronto locations have their own naturopaths, reachable through iPad for new members to register. The marijuana dispensary at Yonge & Eglinton is one of their largest locations, with multiple cash registers and bud display shelves. Cannabis is slightly more expensive than expected, as tax is not included in the “sticker price”.
Canna Clinic Yonge Location:
2352 Yonge St. (Yonge & Eglinton)
Located just 1 block North of Yonge and Eglinton, makes it a great location for individuals living uptown. At a major intersection and subway stop you should be able to reach this dispensary without any issues. With two movie theatres at the same intersection, this dispensary is ideal for pre-rolled joints before movies.
Canna Clinic Membership Access:
Canna Clinic offers iPad consultations with a Naturopath to assess your eligibility. The Naturopath is available during all store hours. The meeting is short, with mine lasting less than 10 minutes. Once you have been approved for a membership you can purchase whatever you want.
Canna Clinic Pricing & Selection:
All strains of cannabis are priced at $10/gram without tax. This makes it $11.30/gram with tax included, which puts it in the middle of the range for pricing. If you know what to look for when selecting your cannabis, this price can be great for the quality buds you select. I suggest doing some research beforehand because sometime strains will be labeled as sativa but are truly indica. Shatter is priced at $60-70/gram plus tax. Cash & Visa are both accepted.
There is no discount for larger purchases. An ounce (28g) will cost $280 +Tax for a grand total of $316.40. Having no bulk discount, Canna Clinic allows patients to select multiple strains to try rather than going for a discount. This is great for new patients searching for relief. The quality of the buds is very impressive and can provide great effects & flavor. Some flavorful strains I enjoyed from Canna Clinic are Moby Dick (sativa) & Romulan (indica).
Canna Clinic was the first Toronto dispensary I signed up with, and the buds I selected really impressed me. I found myself smoking one less bowl during each sesh because of the increased potency. This should also serve as a warning for less experienced cannabis users, potent strains can provoke anxiety.
Unique to Canna Clinic:
So far, Canna Clinic is the only Toronto dispensary chain that does not include tax in the “sticker price”. The Yonge & Eglinton location has the most check out locations of any dispensary and can handle a large volume of traffic.
Canna Clinic Staff:
Staff are friendly, but not all employees give off a professional vibe. This may not be what medical patients are looking for in a dispensary. Employees have told me that most of their customers being recreational users. Employees are knowledge about the product coming from BC, but lack some experience when suggesting for specific medical conditions.
