Pure Releaf Overview:
Pure Releaf is a dispensary for medical patients only, which carries cannabis buds, extract, capsules, and vape pens. The employees were very friendly on my first visit, being talkative and making me feel at home.
Pure Releaf Location:
228 Queen Street East
Pure Releaf is located in the east end of Toronto, on Queen St. E. Parking can be found on side streets, and the TTC will also take you directly there. You should have no issues finding this dispensary.
Pure Releaf Membership Access:
Pure Releaf only accepts 19+ individuals, who are medical patients. If you aren’t a medical patient, there are other dispensaries in the area that they will point you in the direction of. If you are a medical patient, there is a small form for you to complete before you can make a purchase.
Pure Releaf Pricing & Selection:
Pure Releaf had a good selection of cannabis, with over 15 strains when I entered. These strains ranged in price from $8-$12/gram, with discounts starting at 3.5 grams, everyone can find something in their price range. I decided to go with Frosty Purple and Mango Kush. Pure Releaf also offers hash for $10-$15/gram tax included, concentrates for $50-$55/gram, along with a series of vape pens and capsules.
Frosty Purple & Mango Kush
The Frosty Purple was on the more affordable end of the price scale, and as a result it didn’t look as frosty as you would imagine. The strain made up for it in its smell, bringing sweet scents. When smoked, the sweetness didn’t carry through to the taste unfortunately. The bud did burn clean and smooth, but was lacking slightly in potency. You get what you pay for, but this would be good for someone who doesn’t smoke daily or have a high tolerance.
The Mango Kush had a sweet smell, but wasn’t very fragrant. There was decent crystal coverage on top of dark green/purple leaves. When being consumed, you taste the sweetness on the exhale, with a mango flavour left lingering in your mouth, very enjoyable.
Unique to Pure Releaf:
Pure Releaf operates strictly for medical patients, rather than including recreational patients as well. Many dispensaries have started selling to recreational users after both medical and recreational dispensaries were raided. Pure Releaf has stuck to serving only medical patients, with a variety of products and prices.
Pure Releaf Staff:
The staff at Pure Releaf was very friendly and talkative on my visit. They were very professional with the cannabis, able to provide suggested medical uses along with using tongs and gloves when handling the buds.
