Blood Court Wellness Centre Overview:
Bloor Court Wellness Centre (BCWC) had been open for just a bit over a week when I visited it. The owners were out of town celebrating all the hard work they’ve done to get to that point. Both of these things made it seem empty, but I was still quite impressed by the experience & medication. All strains are $10-$12/g tax included. Strains are displayed in glass jars with Leafly information printed out for their patients.
Blood Court Wellness Centre Location:
743 Dovercourt Rd. (Bloor & Ossington)
Bloor Court Wellness Centre is located just north of Bloor St. W. at 743 Dovercourt Rd. The dispensary is just 2 blocks from Ossington Station, making it easy to access via TTC.
Blood Court Wellness Centre Membership Access:
There should be no issues gaining access to BCWC. If you are MMPR or MMAR they will sign you up right away. If you are a member of another dispensary you should be able to join. If there ARE any issues, they offer a doctor on site to ensure you are granted a membership. There is no physical card to identify you as a member.
Blood Court Wellness Centre Pricing & Selection:
BCWC has a designated bud room for patients to make their selection. This is not common in Toronto dispensaries, but appears more official. This is the way medical marijuana is dispensed in California. In the bud room, each strain has a display jar and is accompanied by Leafly strain printouts.
All buds were priced at $10-$12/g tax included for high quality cannabis. The Black Diesel had a unique dark colour to it that caught my attention, but I decided to go with Romulan. Romulan is an old strain, but this was my first opportunity to try it and I couldn’t turn down the crazy amount of trichromes on it. Some strains and sizes are pre-weighted. If the strain you want is not prepackaged they will scale and package it for you.
BCWC carries shatter, but only has a couple strains available when I was there. They also carry multiple flavours of Mary’s Java Tea for $5. I have not tried the apple cider I picked up yet. They also carry hash for $13/g.
Unique to Bloor Court Wellness Centre:
I like having the bud counter in it’s own room that way not everyone can come in and see the products directly off of the street. This will also help prevent kids that may be walking by from seeing cannabis.
BCWC provided full Leafly informational print outs, which I find incredible useful when trying to make a decision on my medication. This was also my first exposer to Mary’s Java, which I have seen in other dispensaries following.
Blood Court Wellness Centre Staff:
The staff member working while I was there was nice and polite. She was knowledge answering my questions about the products, as well as questions about how they operate. BCWC treats the customer with lots of respect and are very professional. This dispensary offers a great experience and quality product for a good price to its patients.
Update: Bloor Court Wellness Centre is no longer open for business.
